Come join Melody Moezzi, author of Haldol and Hyacinths: A Bipolar Life, as she shares her experiences with bipolar disorder, the American Mental Health System and more. She will be speaking about thriving in the face of serious mental illness, reading a bit from her latest book and also taking questions.
Moezzi is an Iranian-American Muslim feminist writer and activist who has written for the New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post and other outlets. She is also a blogger for Ms. Magazine and The Huffington Post, as well as featured columnist and blogger for bp Magazine. She has also appeared on many television and radio shows, including NPR, CNN and others.
