A BOOK DISCUSSION PAIRED WITH A WHISKEY
This month, we'll be discussing James Salter's A Sport and a Pastime. The novel captures the romance—carnal, tragic—between a Yale dropout and a young woman in France. The narrative is recounted by a third man, unnamed and possibly unreliable, who observes and imagines the couple.
The discussion will be complemented by Bastille 1789, a blended French whiskey selected by The Whiskey Attic.
Attendees are expected to have read the book in advance.
Copies of A Sport and a Pastime can be purchased in paperback at The Writer's Block Book Shop. To register for the Book Club, complete this form or call 702-550-6399.
