A discussion of Cixin Liu’s novel The Three-Body Problem, and an opportunity to meet other Las Vegas sci-fi readers.
Join us for our February Science Fiction Book Club meeting, where we’ll be discussing the Hugo-Award winning novel The Three-Body Problem.
The first in a trilogy, The Three-Body Problem chronicles the aftermath of mankind’s first contact with an alien civilization. Some—disillusioned with a world gone wrong—welcome the alien invaders, who are bent on conquering earth by force; others form a coalition to fight against the conquest. Combining real-world historical events and scientific theory, Liu has been hailed as the most exciting voice in Chinese science fiction.
An hour-long group discussion will be followed by an informal reception. Attendees are expected to have read the book in advance.
Copies of The Three-Body Problem can purchased in hardcover or paperback at The Writer’s Block Book Shop. Pre-registration for the Book Club is not required.
