Okey Ndibe is the author of the novels Foreign Gods, Inc. and Arrows of Rain, and co-editor of Writers Writing on Conflicts and Wars in Africa. The New York Times as well as The Philadelphia Inquirer, Cleveland Plain Dealer and Mosaic magazine named Foreign Gods, Inc. one of the ten best books of 2014. Ndibe is currently the Shearing Fellow at Black Mountain Institute.

Erica Vital-Lazare teaches creative writing at the College of Southern Nevada where she is the editor-in-chief of the Red Rock Review literary journal. She is a past recipient of grants and awards from the Zora Neale Hurston/Richard Wright Foundation, the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Hilliard Endowment, the Virginia Council of the Arts and the Nevada Arts Council. Her work has been featured in CatalystSojourner and the Richmond Afro-American, and appears in the University of Nevada Press fiction collection The River Underground: An Anthology of Nevada Fiction. She is working on a novel.

Adam Burke is an award-winning radio producer whose work has been heard on National Public Radio, American Public Media, BBC, CBC Canada, and ABC Australia. His story "Sucked Into the Tunnels Beneath Las Vegas" was recognized for its narrative and sound-design excellence by the Third Coast International Audio Festival in 2010. Adam served as News Director of Nevada Public Radio for five years.
