A book discussion paired with a whiskey.
In May, attendees will discuss All the Pretty Horses, the first book of Cormac McCarthy’s Border Trilogy and recipient of the National Book Award and National Book Circle Critic’s Award. The novel follows two young men as they travel from Texas southward into Mexico, where they hope to find work as cowboys. But in a land as romantic and violent as McCarthy’s Mexico, the men must fight to gain a foothold—and to stay alive.
The discussion will be complemented by a bourbon selected and provided by The Whiskey Attic. Attendees are expected to have read the book in advance.
Copies of All the Pretty Horses can be purchased in paperback at The Writer’s Block Book Shop.
